Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls completed
Looks like $$$ and €€€ are still more important to GOG than their SWJ bullshit ideology. Game comes to GOG on 15th January 2020, same day as Steam and Humble Store.
This is a Wizardry game, that SHOULD be on GOG ! It's coming on Steam on 15th january , I hope GOG get it very soon or sadly I'll have to buy it on Steam, like some other games.
Addition: That said if GOG doesn't want my money i'll get it somewhere else if need be.
Lol, GOG would still rather reject such games and lose money(they must have plenty to burn....if I were papa and mama CDP i'd cut em off from extra game profits until they shaped up) it would seem.
Heck, they only accepted Grimoire when it started selling like hotcakes and enough people complained, yet Molek-Syntez and other seemingly more "focused" user base games get greenlit much quicker....it's insane, it iss.
I posted about this game 7 years ago when it was console exclusive, I'll definitely pick it up once it's released on PC. I'd prefer to get it on GOG, sad to hear you initially rejected it. I hope you change your mind, otherwise I'll go with Steam.
The game will be released on 15th January 2020 on Steam and Humble Store

Come on, GOG! Don't lose your mind.
GOG get on this. Steam is getting an 'HD' re-release of this title that I've sunk hundreds of hours into. I'd rather buy it here.
Please GOG you have to do this!
Wait, what agenda? What the frag happened that GOG stopped caring about old games and what is that" niche" crap when they release awful hidden object games and VN and partly-interactive RPG-Maker games?
Also what happened with XSeed?
Can anyone shine some line for me? I'm utterly lost as to what is going on and I'm just surprised so little old games are being brought back... PM if you prefer, of course.
Anyway I discovered Wizardry with the PS2 game, fell in loe with the concept, got the trilogy sold here, tried the original trilogy, loved it, and just learned this game is on Steam.
I'll say the same thing as Elminage, there are too few of thses series here. Do something about it, it you compound all Wizardry votes, I can't believe over 10k votes (including the repeats) mean nothing. And don't tell me Diablo is less niche, it's its own niche!
It is utterly bizarre to me that GOG would say that Wizardry: LoLS doesn't meet their "requirements," unless they've just completely abandoned the original concept of being "Good Old Games." Wizardry is one of the oldest and most influential PC RPGs of all time, and this is absolutely a spiritual successor to it.
Not true jakelinux. This was an authorized release. The current Wizardry IP owner is a Japanese company named Gamepot. There is absolutely no excuse for GOG rejecting this game especially considering they have allowed very mediocre VNs and RPG Maker games on the platform.
GOG did their job. The Jap devs who made this game don't have the rights to the Wizardry name/IP, so it would be very shady to sell and distribute it here. Simple as
Well, it's not surprising. GOG is more or less dead for me for about a year already.
I still can't believe they rejected a Wizardry game of all things. Even if it's not by the original devs it still turned out to be a good game, like many of the other Japanese Wizardry titles
I'm kinda being a broken record posting this, but it doesn't hurt to vote (preferably only if you'd buy the game here though). But of course you can also contact them directly with your frustrations.
GOG is no more Good Old Games. "Is because this type of game is niche", all this website is niche \o/
GOG disapointing me. If don't change his posture, I will don't buy games in him anymore.
Another day, another good game rejected by GOG. Really a shame, i hope they change their mind.
Once again the GOG curation team shows it has nothing more than shit for brains when it comes to titles that customers want. Such a great idea to piss off Xseed so that GOG no longer gets other titles from them in the future. Fucking brilliant!
WTF DID YOU REJECT IT?!?
Not too late, ten days left, accept the game that was submitted to you FFS!
And, while you're at it, give me the other part of Anima.
Voted.....c'mon GOG fix yer sh*t
Way to screw the pooch yet again GOG. This is why my patronage has shifted to different platforms by a vast percentage.
Stop dropping the ball and fire your extreme leftist infestation, GOG. Store curation my ass, you carry the worst and lowest quality garbage made by a certain clique but won't carry high quality games like Grimoire and this?
I thought this was the place to get good old games. First Grimoire, now this -why does GOG hate Wizardry clones?
Apparently, GOG is pushing its personal agenda again instead of acting like a storefront.
Apparently GOG isn't interested.
it has IOS version?
Yeah, this is a PS3 exclusive in the vein of the very first Wizardry games, both thematically and gameplay wise, and no, it's not the only console exclusive game in the series - there have been dozens of Japanese Wizardry games made since the 90's, very few of which were available on PC, even fewer that were released in the west. Labyrinth of Lost Souls is the first Wizardry game to be released in the west since 2002, with Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land (which was closer to the later Wizardry games than this was, probably comparable to Wizardry 6 or so?). There were several other Wizardry games released in Japan between these (including a direct sequel to Tale of the Forsaken Land, and a few PSP and mobile games), but they sadly never made it here.
At this point this is a PS3-only game. If you own a PS3 though, get it- it's $15 and a superb dungeon crawler.
