Ocaro Used to play this game as a young kid. Loved the atmosphere even back then, but barely understood the language and plot at all. Still one of my greatest regrets, that I never had a chance to properly enjoy and finish this gem of a game. Still hoping!

leedavis Yes yes yes. I still have my original CD for windows xp. But it does not work on 8.1 or higher. so it sits waiting for the day I can play it again.

Blitzsturm This game was so wildly ahead of it's time for it's release date both technologically and in story and level design. More than two decades later it's still "not bad". I'd love to play it again but I loaned my discs to a friend that never gave them back . If I could find it on GOG I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Or even better if someone can buy the rights to it the property and make a worthy remastering or sequel.

Species8472rc3 What would be awesome would be a modern remake or spiritual successor... a gigantic, gorgeous, open-world map on par with Just Cause 3 or 4 so you have lots of space to stretch your wings, and pretty much the same gameplay mechanics as Just Cause too... quest-givers, pockets of A.I. enemies dotting the landscape and fortifications to assail from the air or crawl-through on foot, but in a medieval setting with the player roleplaying as a big spiky, wobbly, wind-reactive, Game-of-Thrones style dragon... using exactly the same puppeteering controls that Drakan did. Let's face it, Drakkan's controls on PC were WAY ahead of their time... flight animation and control is well done and quite believable, but what makes it all really special is the mouse-look which lets you instantly whip your head around on that long serpentine neck to look/attack to the sides or even over your shoulder (which is especially useful when you're on the ground with enemies trying to flank you from behind.) Psygnosis did an absolutely BRILLIANT job on the dragon rigging, animation, and controls, and it's pretty much the gold standard — there hasn't been anything even remotely like it since. Speaking of which, you'd think that (given the popularity of Game of Thrones and now House of the Dragon) we'd be drowning in Drakan clones that let you play as a dragon, but nope... :P Not a one! Closest we've come in recent years is The Falconeer and the Wyvern Simulator prototype... ;)
