Hello fellow Linux gamers!

Here you can find informations about ./play.it, a tool building packages for Debian, Arch Linux, Gentoo and any derivative (Ubuntu, Manjaro, Linux Mint, etc.) from your installers for Planescape: Torment.
These packages can be installed easily with you favourite packages manager.

• separate packages built for language-specific files

hello, sorry if it's wrong place to ask, but how I can install russian localization on linux (ubuntu 16.04)? there is no native linux installer?

I‘m sure the Russian version works on Linux too.
I’ll write a script for it during the week, and keep you tuned once it’s done ;)

it's still english version. maybe doing something wrong. also can't start game in windowed mode =(

UPD: nevermind, it was a bug with a space character in path to working dir, so $(basename ${GAME_ARCHIVE}) returns wrong name...

now it has some bug with character encoding, no support for cyrillic symbols or so, don't know if it's wine bug or not...

Thanks, I’ll try to find a way to handle spaces in the path to working directory in a better way.

I think it is a conflict with some files coming with your previous installation of the English version.
Remove the following directories and try again (you will lose your saved games):
~/.cache/planescape-torment/
~/.config/planescape-torment/
~/.local/share/games/planescape-torment/
~/.local/share/wine/prefixes/planescape-torment/

Thank you so much!

I confirm it works perfectly on Xubuntu. I forgot to install Wine at first but going through the steps of your procedure again after installing it the game runs without problems.

Hi! So I managed to install the game this way, but I did so because I wanted to be able to install mods, otherwise, the game runs the same as if I had installed it from the original Linux download from GOG.
