Wondering if someone could post a mirror for the mod tools?
I know there's the Yahoo group, haven't had or used a Yahoo account in ten years, assuming the group moderator is still present? Other links for the tools are dead.

Glad we can sorta keep this game alive, I have "CEL view" and the mod tools + Chaos Patch on an old PC, just might to have dig out of storage for that!

Hello and thanks for the reply, the MOD GUIDE on here was a big help, though I did make better Space Marines back in say... 2010.. so long ago for this game. I used to mod SC '98 back then, in fact I was trying to make a realtime conversion using Final Liberation units... sooo much work!

I'm running into one problem, whenever I go to look at the CODEX from the deployment screen (where you pick your regiments) it crashes, it crashed only with Land Speeder Tornado & Thunderhawk w/ Turbo Laser Destructor.

Could it be the SHADOW im linking to is the one for the regular speeder and hawk? What's the deal, cant release a crashing mod.

Here's my modification for Final Lib
* Adds ESCORT SQUAD [Commissar and Space Marines]
* Adds Land Speeder Tornado [Hvy Bolter and Assault Cannon]
* Adds Flamer to Land Speeder
* Boosted all armor on Space Marine Predator and Vindicator chassi
* Vindicator has BIG BOOM demolisher [just get in close!]
* Land Raider now a Super Heavy [two hits] superior armor
* Added Thunderhawk with Turbolaser Destroyer [for Titan and tank hunting]
* Added Devastators [Lascannons and Missile launchers] unit size only 20 vs 25
* Titan Wpn Accuracy is increased [now you can actually hit things with GREEN level titans]
* Space Marine armor now 50, tested this a lot to find the right amount of an armor save. They're powerful, and now have a heavy weapon as well [one missile launcher], more fun to find them now.
* Space Marines can now fight on their own, using the new units and durability.
* Added ORK Mega Armoured Nobs [1/per detachment], unit of 4, best armor of any infantry unit, comes with battlewagon, very slow movement, require transport to get stuck in. Destroy transport to stop them, use AT wpns.

* "QUAKE CANNON" = R4 from 1 (now destroy infantry with larger blast)
* "Plasma Blastgun" = R3 (again, large blast)
* "Plasma Destructor" = R5 (large blast)
* "Volcano Cannon" = R5 (ever seen the size of this blast?)
* "Melta Cannon" = R6 (ever seen a pool of melted slag?)
* "Rockets" = R2 (these belong to aircraft, now have added anti-infantry ability)

* "Bolters" = range NOW 12 was 20 (all infantry now have to get a bit closer, no more kilometer shots)
* "Lasguns" = range NOW 12 was 20 (all infantry now have to get a bit closer)

I'm sure the archive contains everything I use, so there should be no crashing.

** KNOW BUG - if you right click on a NEW unit in the detachment screen when choosing your army, the game will CRASH instead of going to the codex screen. Only on the detachment menu it does this. Bug persist in other mods as well.

Shouldn't lasguns have greater range to make up for being a lot less powerful? And the Planet Guard have a low to-hit chance in any case.

I reduced the range on Lasguns and Bolters to 12 from 20 as after playing the campaign, there were far too many super long range shots being taken by my troops, and the Ork troops. Often these super long range shots seemed to exceed 20 squares, and where super effective, killling 4/5 models, or wrecking light vehicles.

I'll definitely revisit Final Lib, maybe a range of 14 is better?

Hey man,

Thanks for uploading your mod and taking the time to add some of this stuff in. Having a blast with the new units and the hardened space marines having come back to try the game on hard. Really good stuff, though I've run into a couple of issues.

1. For whatever reason whenever I am scrolling through the Imperial Unit List or Codex for Infantry I get a crash. I believe it's the devastator marines as with some creative menu navigating I can avoid them completely and never get a crash.

2. It seems the Honour Guard unit has a movement value of zero. Which certainly makes them a little hard to use :D

I know i's nearly two years since you last posted and I don't know if you're still around but if you happen to have patched this at any point or still have the source for the .DAT files I'd certainly be happy to look it over and see if I can fix it up.

It also seems that linked weapons cannot have different ranges:
The heavy weapon of the space marine squads cannot fire beyond 14 tiles, and is limited to the bolter range (at least, I could not find how to get it to open fire on enemy that should have been in range).

@Noontide13: don't all new units from any mod crash the encyclopedia?

It's not just the encyclopaedia. They can't be selected in the detachment editor either, causing a crash. Making it a real risk to scroll the unit list. Essentially I cannot add them to any army and landing on them in the list crashes the game.

I've grown accustomed to some creative scrolling and I know where they're placed in the list.

Wondering if I'm missing something myself though.

Are you sure R.o.f only works against infantry? Isn't that also the number of hits against vehicles(except for artillery)?
Edit: I check, and you are correct, it does nothing against vehicles:
It means that apart from the ork custom kannon speedsta, it is impossible to represent the weapons with high anti vehicle RoF in the game, but at the same time, it makes it much easier to differentiate AP and AT weapons.
